Experimenting With Glass Part 1

Due to some recent home remodeling that has completely taken over my work area (Everything from the kitchen and living room is now occupying that space) I haven't been able to get to most of my tools. Since I am self taught I decided to experiment a bit with what had before my kiln gets completely blocked off by more furnishings tomorrow.

And now we play the waiting game ...

I wanted to take a step out of my comfort zone and make a few things that are more playful and abstract. This isn't really a tutorial or anything I just thought it would be fun to share a bit of what I am doing. I will post the finished pieces soon!

Like my work and want to see more? Check out these links below and spread the word it really helps me more than you know!

All my glass work can be found for sale here.

Oh Goodness What a Crazy Year

It is hard to believe that it has been a year since I last put up a blog post. During that time I was a preschool teacher and had little time for my art. Now that things have started to settle down and I have turned back to being a full time artist I have returned to my blog.

Right now my family and I have been working on some home renovations so things are still a bit crazy.

This is just one of the three rooms we have gutted so far. Let me tell you, there is something a bit cathartic about helping tear down a wall with a hammer.

Even with all the hard work on the house I have been working on some new glass pieces! I decided to go with shades of blue, grey and light green which is a potential new color palate for our living area.

This is the first from the new batch. More of them to come in my Etsy Shop FusedElegance over the next few days!
